Pre-releaseConsolry is not finished yet, but you can try it. Get the pre-release

Your first server

Pick the software, a version and how much memory. Consolry does the rest.

Create it

  1. In the panel, choose New server.
  2. Give it a name.
  3. Pick the server software:
    • Paper: runs plugins and is fast. The usual choice.
    • Purpur: Paper with extra settings.
    • Fabric: runs mods instead of plugins.
  4. Pick the Minecraft version and how much memory it may use.
  5. Tick the box to accept the Minecraft EULA. A Minecraft server will not start without it.
  6. Choose Create server.

Consolry downloads the server, checks the download, and installs a suitable Java if your computer does not have one.

Start it

Open the server and press Start. The status reads Starting with the latest line from the log, then Running once Minecraft is ready. A new server usually takes 20 to 40 seconds; one with many plugins takes longer.

Join it

On the same computer, add a server in Minecraft with the address localhost. For other devices and for friends, see Network.

How much memory?

2 GB is enough for a few friends on a plain server. Add more for many plugins or players, but leave a few GB free for the rest of your computer. You can change it later on the Startup tab.
