The rule

Safety is never paywalled.

Backups, two-factor login, plugin verification and crash reports are in the free edition and will stay there.

Paid plans sell time savings, team features and tools for hosting companies. Nothing else.

Questions

About paying

Is it really free?

Yes. The Community edition is free, has no server or node limit, and its core will be released as open source at the first full release. Paid plans add things that save time or help teams and hosts. Anything you need to run a server safely, like backups and two-factor login, stays free.

What happens if I stop paying?

The paid features switch off. Your servers keep running and nothing is deleted.

Does my server data leave my machine?

No. Consolry runs on your own hardware. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on a feature that needs it, and that feature says what it sends before you enable it.
